Our Journey

From its humble beginnings in KUWAIT in 2011, BASMED Group has grown to become one of the leading providers of specialized healthcare, dental, aesthetic, and laboratory solutions across the GCC. Starting with a focus on surgical and medical supplies, the Group has expanded its footprint through strategic subsidiaries and distributor networks in Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, delivering high-quality products and services to hospitals, clinics, and wellness centers.

2011 SAJA GULF – Kuwait

BASMED Group’s GCC journey began in 2011 with the establishment of Saja Gulf in Kuwait, the Group’s first subsidiary. Starting as a retail distributor of medical healthcare supplies, it quickly became a trusted partner for public and private healthcare institutions.

Saja Gulf’s comprehensive portfolio includes medical consumables, surgical instruments, clinical devices, equipment, and hospital furniture, and it supports specialized healthcare verticals such as Cosmeceutical Solutions, Dental Supplies, Gastroenterology, Physiotherapy, Respiratory and Anesthesia, Urology and Andrology, CSSD and Infection Control, Cardiology, Pharmaceuticals, and Healthcare Digital Solutions.

Through strong OEM and ODM collaborations, Saja Gulf played a pivotal role in the development and success of BASMED Brand Products, now widely recognized across the GCC.

2019 GULF MOON – UAE

Gulf Moon represents BASMED Group’s strategic entry into the UAE, one of the most competitive and rapidly growing healthcare markets in the region. Operational since 2019, Gulf Moon manages our retail and distribution business across the UAE mainland.

The company initially focused on Hospital, Dental, and Aesthetic supplies, offering high-quality consumables, instruments, devices, equipment, and furnishings to clinics, hospitals, and wellness centers.

2024 Oman – Business via Shareholding Partners & Distributor Network
